This 14-day journey through Sri Lanka goes beyond sightseeing - it’s a deep dive into history, nature, and culture. From ancient cities to highland mist and wild safaris, each day offers something unforgettable. Here are just a few highlights - the rest, you’ll discover for yourself.

Sigiryia & Anuradhapura
Climb the towering rock of Sigiriya, an ancient fortress built by a king and guarded by lion paws, where jungle vistas stretch for miles and history clings to every stone. Then journey to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s spiritual heart a sacred city of shimmering white stupas, serene monasteries, and the sacred Bodhi tree said to descend from the one under which the Buddha found enlightenment. Together, they offer a powerful glimpse into the island’s soul where myth, devotion, and beauty live on.

Kandy
In the heart of Sri Lanka’s hill country lies Kandy, a city steeped in culture, charm, and quiet spirituality. Here, you’ll visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, stroll the peaceful path around Kandy Lake, and explore the lush Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, filled with rare orchids and towering palms. You’ll dive into the flavours of the region with a hands-on cooking class, discover the island’s gem trade, and enjoy time to soak in the rhythm of local life. Kandy offers a perfect blend of tradition, nature, and gentle adventure, all wrapped in mist and magic.

Nuwara Eliya
From Kandy, we wind our way through rolling hills and emerald-green tea country to reach Nuwara Eliya, a town often called ‘Little England’ for its colonial charm and cool mountain air. You’ll visit a working tea factory to see how Sri Lanka’s world-renowned Ceylon tea is produced, then rise early for a trek through the breathtaking Horton Plains. With cloud forests, wild grasslands, and the dramatic cliff edge of World’s End, it’s one of the island’s most awe-inspiring landscapes. Nuwara Eliya is a place of quiet beauty, where nature, history and fresh mountain air meet.

Yala
From the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya, we board the iconic train to Ella, one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world. As the train winds through misty mountains, tea estates, and lush valleys, you’ll have time to simply sit back and take it all in. In Ella, there’s time to explore this laid-back hill village, with its cafés, waterfalls, and breathtaking views from Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. Then we journey south into the wild beauty of Yala, where the landscape shifts and the jungle takes over, setting the scene for the safari adventures to come.

Galle
From the wilds of Yala, we head to the southern coast and into the colonial charm of Galle. Inside the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, you’ll explore cobbled streets by bicycle, passing Dutch-era buildings, seaside ramparts, and colourful boutiques. Along the coast, we visit the Tsunami Museum, a moving tribute to resilience and remembrance. There’s time to browse local artisan shops, sip a cool drink at a heritage café, and soak in the laid-back rhythm of coastal life. Galle is a town of stories — layered, beautiful, and quietly powerful.

Colombo
We complete our journey in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s vibrant capital, but not before a stop at Geoffrey Bawa’s iconic country house, Lunuganga. This tranquil estate offers a glimpse into the life and mind of one of Asia’s most influential architects, where design blends seamlessly with nature. In Colombo, we hop into tuk tuks for a lively city tour, weaving through colonial streets, local markets, seaside promenades and cultural landmarks. It’s a spirited, sensory end to your adventure, full of colour, contrast and contemporary Sri Lankan life.
